The VED Council continues to play a proactive role in fostering research-driven development across the Vidarbha region. As part of this commitment, VED prepared a comprehensive report titled “Promotion of Tourism in Vidarbha” in collaboration with Anand Rathi Investment Banking. The report, which highlights key opportunities to strengthen tourism infrastructure and unlock regional economic potential, was unveiled by Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari.

In another important initiative to strengthen academia-industry collaboration, VED signed a landmark MoU with Jhulelal Institute of Technology (JIT). Through this partnership, students are actively engaged in research projects on strategic regional themes such as tourism development, the growth potential of MIHAN, the impact of the Nagpur Metro, and the management systems of the Shegaon Temple. These studies are expected to generate valuable insights that can support policy thinking and contribute meaningfully to the economic transformation of Vidarbha.

Further extending its research efforts, VED also submitted a detailed study to the Skill Development Department, Nagpur, focusing on identifying region-specific skill requirements across different areas of the city. This research aims to align workforce capabilities with emerging economic opportunities and support more targeted skill development initiatives.

Through such collaborative research initiatives, VED continues to strengthen its role as a catalyst for evidence-based planning, youth engagement, and sustainable regional development in Vidarbha.
